Sunday January 13, 2008. The boys wanted to go skateboarding so Peter took them to the closest outdoor skatepark which is in Grimes, Iowa about 20 minutes away. It was in the low 20's and the ramps where covered in snow and ice. They scraped and shoveled so they could skate.

One of Peter's favorite things to do is cycle. His previous much loved, 14 1/2 year old bike was retired this Christmas. Charlie also has a red road bike and was very happy that he was now going to be on the same "team".

Margo

We welcomed Margo into our family a year ago in December. She has made herself and home and is much loved.

Sledding December 24, 2007

We had one of the snowiest Decembers in the last 10 years. We love to sled. This picture was taken Christmas Eve Day. I just love it!

Oh Christmas Tree

I put on the lights and the kids decorated the tree all by themselves. I think it is the most beautiful tree we have ever had!

All dressed up with somewhere to go

Every holiday season we are invited to one particular black tie affair that a group of people, one of whom is my cousin, host. We have great fun and find one of the most amusing things is that we clean up pretty well. I am always focusing on what to wear and Peter tells me how lucky he is to be a guy because he doesn't have to worry about what to wear, he just pulls his tux out and is done.
